Committee Meeting 25 September 1980 - Exhibition Secretary's Report

Committee Meeting 30 October 1980 - Exhibition Secretary's Report

Annual Exhibition:
"An inter-club slide battle was planned for the Thursday evening to be judged by B Bower. (NCPS not to participate). WS wondered if Amsterdam would be interested in participating. A suggestion had been made that the Trophy for the Battle should be named "The Fiveways Committee Cup" to be donated by members who frequent that establishment. Certain members of the Committee were unhappy about that proposal and the matter was not resolved".

Committee Meeting 27 November 1980 - Exhibition Secretary's Report

Annual Exhibition:
"Of the 25 Clubs invited to take part in the Slide Battle, 6 had so far expressed their intention of participating and one had declined. The subject of a suitable Trophy was aired once more and it was finally decided that this should be bought from Club funds. A figure of £40 - £50 was mentioned but further investigation is necessary to determine what that will buy.

"A Redford outlined his plan as follows:- Visitors will pay at the door an entrance fee of 50p for which they will receive a Catalogue and which will include the cost of refreshments. This arrangement will remove the problems caused by having tickets bought in advance. There was general agreement on these proposals."

NCPS AGM 26 May 1981 - Exhibition/Competition Secretary's Report

"A third new trophy was purchased for presentation to the winners of the Interclub Slide Competition which it hoped will prove to be a popular and prestigious event in future years with all the top clubs from a wide area. A good start was made this year with our own Brian Bower judging on a knock-out basis a six slide entry from thirteen visiting clubs. Over a hundred visitors, mainly from competing clubs, saw Bury P.S. collect the trophy this year, and also witnessed of course our impressive display of Exhibition prints".
