The North Cheshire Challenges are two interclub competitions held during the Annual Exhibition of North Cheshire Photographic Society. These respected competitions have been held for many years and attract many of the top clubs in the North West and beyond.

One is a projected image knock-out, for slides from 1981 to 2007 and for digital images from 2008, for the North Cheshire Challenge Trophy. The winning club in February 2011 was Wigan 10, out of 30 clubs.

The other is a Digital Print competition, held since 1999, for the Alan Adshead Memorial Trophy. The winning club in February 2011 was Wigan 10, out of 21 clubs.

In this 60th year since the creation of North Cheshire Photographic Society, and this 30th year since the inauguration of the original North Cheshire Challenge, these competitions now have this website and its accompanying blog of their own. This website is based largely on material extracted from the comprehensive main website of North Cheshire Photographic Society.

Having this material on a dedicated website and blog will make it easier to organise and enter these competitions and should raise their profile. The intention is that the February 2012 competitions will be better than ever.
